|At St. Paul's, "Singles and Doubles" has nothing to do with
tennis! It is a potluck event at which all members of the parish –
be they single or doubles – are welcomed!
Approximately once every month or six weeks, a Singles and Doubles
event is hosted by someone in the parish. It may be in their
home, a party room at their apartment complex, or some other
location, such as a park.
The coordinators are responsible for providing the beverages,
ice, glasses, plates, tableware, napkins, etc., the cost of which is
covered by a suggested contribution of $2.50 per person to the
"kitty." People who attend the event are asked to bring an
appetizer, main dish, or dessert for six to eight.
The coordinators bring the beverages and
place-settings; the
participants bring the food; the host simply has to open the door!
